Back Pain Release Mini Course

Bonjour! I'm Hélène

Let me tell you a bit about me and why I am here...

Yoga has been a part of my life since I moved to New York City from France in 2009.

What started as a movement practice to relieve lower back pain and stress from a busy professional life slowly became a new way of living.

Over the years, I became passionate about all aspects of Yoga and saw profound transformations in my whole being. I became healthier, more grounded, and connected to my compass and intuition. Most importantly, I found joy and true contentment again.

My self-practice evolved from a rigorous daily physical routine to a softer, more holistic, self-loving practice of postures, breathwork, meditation, self-study, and devotion.

In addition to being fully immersed in the practices of yoga and meditation, I’m attuned to the high demand of being a mum, an entrepreneur, and a busy professional. I have held many hats, worked in highly demanding corporate and non-profit jobs in New York City, and raised two children.

Yoga is a multi-dimensional practice in which value and potential for transformation reside in its holistic approach rather than its parts.

I’m here to help you get there with my guidance, loving support, and personalized lifestyle changes.

Influences & Approach

My practice and teachings are deeply rooted in the ancient wisdom of India and inspired by my practice of Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in the lineage of Shri T. Krishnamacharya and Vedic Meditation in the lineage of Swami Brahmananda Saraswati (Guru Dev)

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a style of postural yoga made of 6 dynamic and progressing series of postures (āsanas). Postures vary in difficulty and benefits; they are linked by flowing movements called vinyāsa and synchronized with the breath called ujjayi. The series were methodized by Shri K. Pattabhi Jois in the 1960s based on the teaching of his teacher Shri T. Krishnamacharya. Through the practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, one cultivates awareness of the body and senses, which brings deep internal consciousness.

Influenced by but distinct from Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga is dynamic movement practice structured like a moving meditation where each pose is linked by the thread of the breath. Vinyasa classes are economic, rigorous, invigorating, and restorative.

Chanting mantra is the sacred yogic practice of inviting yogic wisdom to directly permeate one’s life. In the tradition of the Yogis. when chanting is done with sincerity, mystical sounds and healing vibrations open up sacred knowledge, wisdom and path of inner peace.

Vedic Meditation is a mantra-based meditation technique that comes from the Vedas, the body of knowledge that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. The technique was made popular in the 1950s by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who learned it from his guru, Swami Brahmananda Saraswati, lovingly referred to as Guru Dev, and the teachers, sages, and gurus before them.
